Student #1HOW DO WE LOOK AT ART? WHAT IS ART?
Students chose a photograph from National Geographics magazine that really caught their attention. Students studied the imagery, colors and composition. Students wrote everything that they could identify.
Students learned that art could be used to educate us about different places in the world. They can show us the beauty and the harshness of real life.
This can be done through photographs, drawings, paintings, illustrations, computer graphics, etc.
4th grade learned about Primary Colors
and learned how to mix Secondary Colors
. They also learned about Contrasting Colors, Warm vs. Cool Colors
. Students were asked to create their OWN
Color pallets from student journals. The students mixed their own colors!
